Overbite Treatment
Many people confuse the terms overbite and overjet, but they describe different dental conditions. An overbite is the vertical overlap of your upper teeth over your lower teeth. Ideally, this overlap falls between 20-30%. If it’s greater, it can disrupt your smile and even impact the surrounding soft tissue over time. In contrast, an overjet refers to how far your front teeth stick out horizontally over your lower teeth. An excessive overjet should be addressed promptly, as it can lead to further dental problems if left untreated.
